50 Sundays Promo shot at Symmes Chapel (Pretty Place) YMCA Camp Greenville
Tonight I’m staying a second night at the Black Forest Family Camp Ground in hopes of getting more shots of the Pretty Place Chapel on my GX7. I need a wide angle lens. That is one of the next pieces of equipment on the list. My shots are way to tight for my liking. I tend to gravitate toward my smart phone for sweeping and outdoor shots. That is not sustainable, nor will it look good enough for a full feature documentary.
The stars were lovely last night. I laid in my Sienna looking out the back van window with the electric heater blowing. There is much uncertainty on this trip. Yet, I feel secure. I feel like God has this through and through and with each new day I’m getting to see the beauty of sacred spaces and rebel hearts for Jesus. I’m moved by the testimonies I come into contact with and they inspire me to want to do better in all aspects of this project.
I started a new routine. I call my mom on Friday and tell her the things I would have changed about my progress and performance in the past week, and then tell her the things I did well, and really helped the project in some way. What I’ve discovered is that everything is a balance between discipline and the freedom to explore. What good is all this freedom, if my equipment and focus doesn’t glorify the Lord and capture the testimonies and destinations in a way that will inspire. I’m so thankful for my next destinations. They have alot to teach me!
Tonight I ask for your prayers. I need to generate some abundance to get some more equipment, but beside that, I need strength, focus, stamina, and to be continuously prayerful, mindful and close to the Almighty.
Good night folks. Enjoy! Explore with the eyes of Jesus!
